Hindu temples

The Hindus, mostly from South India, have been trading in Malacca for centuries, right from the time of the Malacca Sultanate, when Malacca was an important entrepot. Many of the Hindu temples in Malacca, despite being some of the oldest in the country, date from much later than that, mostly in the 18th and 19th century, when the Dutch and the British were the colonial administrators.
